No More Idols: I Now Worship God in Spirt and in Truth!

On September 13, 2023, I attended my very first Bible Study and gave my life to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Coming up to it, I was super nervous. I never had read the Bible. I always had this fear of not properly receiving it. I always believed in Jesus but never understood him completely. At this moment I had been on my self development journey for a year and a half and just wanted to build my relationship with him.

When I attended my first Bible Study, instantly my life shifted. In one night I had learned so much about our Jesus Lord and Savior. As well as how society and generational norms has made me believe in idols that I thought were for good and bringing me closer to Jesus and my purpose, but that was not true.

Upon giving myself to him, I felt this pressure on my chest. I was a little worried as I had never felt this before and thought it may have been a terrible thing. I expressed my feeling as I wanted to start my new life with my Jesus as my Lord and Savior and fully follow the path he has set for me. Marisabel then confirmed to me that it was the Holy Spirit knocking at my heart, and I was allowing him completely in. Hearing his word that day really made me realize that I shall not fear no more and allow Jesus to guide me in my purpose with the plans he has set for me.

On September 14th, the following day, I removed all idols/enemies from my home and threw them in a river where it will be no more. I’m very excited about this new path I get to walk with Jesus. I know that I live to serve him and through him anything in life is possible. All glory to God.
